A mother of two, is known to have developed and nurtured a potent passion for Gambia’s children’s development and wellbeing. She currently serves as a Chartered Accountant and has devoted her life to the finance industry for over twenty years. She brings a wealth of experience and has purposed to cast a keen eye on the efficient management of the organisation’s finances; income, spend and funder audit.

Janet Maye

Deputy Chair

Janet has always been described as quite a sociable and out-going person and has an eye for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Being a Holistic Therapist and having been involved in professional social care in the UK as a Social Care Professional, and also a Lecturer in Aromatherapy and Health & Social Care.
Janet has purposed to ensure that all business ventures and fundraising activities are efficiently and professionally advanced, thus making her a Business woman in her own right.

Oumie Douglas

Treasurer

A business graduate with a passion for philanthropy, Oumie is absolutely committed to TRSO’s efforts to support young people in education, especially those that are economically disadvantaged. The need for quality delivery of teaching, coupled with the existence of a conducive learning environment, Oumie tells us, sits at the core of her belief where young people’s academic development is concerned, and has vowed to leave no stone unturned as she serves with TRSO to achieve its objectives.

Edward Massiah

Public Relations Director

Apart from having a real passion for driving the social, economic, and intellectual development of young people, he also brings to TRSO a wealth of experience from working in Facilities Management within the Further Education sector, and as an Integrated Security system engineer. As a significant percentage of TRSO’s work will be that of working with schools and other learning institutions, Edward’s knowledge and experience will be pivotal to guiding the organisation on matters of facilities, security, and intellectual development.

Momodou (Sanka) Jallow

Secretary

A father of four, Sanka is quite knowledgeable of the Gambian social, religious, and cultural dynamics and having been quite active within the private transportation sector and resides in the Gambia offers himself as the primary point of contact for advancing all matters of interest to the organisation.
